GAME CANCELLATION POLICY

Bradford Soccer Club has an inclement weather policy as follows:

If the ‘Flag’ is RED – NO SOCCER WILL BE PLAYED ON ANY FIELD IN BRADFORD OR BOND HEAD.

If the ‘Flag’ is GREEN – soccer will be played as scheduled.

The ‘Flag’ is actually not a flag, but a wood board that is mounted on the fence outside of the tennis courts at the Old Arena and on the fence beside the arena building at Bob Fallis.

Thunder and Lightening automatically means a Red Flag. If games are being played at the time of the storm, all play will immediately stop.

The Bradford Parks and Recreation Department decides by 4 pm if the playing fields in Bradford are safe for play. If the weather is inclement, and you are not sure if your team will be playing, please call the Bradford Soccer Club office at 905-775-7000. The message on the machine will indicate whether play has been cancelled.

In the case of inclement weather after 4 pm on game day, the decision will be made between the Coaches and the Referees on the field before games are played. The Referee has the final say as to whether the fields are safe for play or not. In this case, a Game Sheet must still be submitted and signed by both coaches and the Referee.
